Normandy Aluminum Arch Top Chrome Bass!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Here is one you don't see everyday!! I have had this bass for about a year. Never played it out, it has been to a couple of GTG's. Bass weights between 9-10lbs. Bass looks as new as the day I got it. It gets no love and has been in its case for the last few months. She needs a better home! New they run $2399 from Musicians Friend, asking $1400

Classic Design ~ New Age Materials

The Normandy® bass is made out of specially selected aluminum, resulting in sustain qualities that are better and have been touted as far superior to the traditional wooden bodied guitars.

The Normandy® bass pays homage to the classic Gibson and Gretsch, with a different material that allows notes to ring longer and clearer.

The bass feature a body with classic archtop curves and distinctive rivets on the front and back.

Every Normandy Bass® is loaded with these features:

ALUMINUM BODY constructed of aircraft-grade material
HARD ROCK MAPLE NECK WITH ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD
18% NICKEL/SILVER FRET WIRE
CHROME, 20:1 Ratio TUNERS
Normandy Guitars Aluminum Nut
Nordstrand Humbuckersfor high output, powerful midrange and tone

Seriously, what about the tone? Any chance of some clips?

I can't speak to the bass but I did have one of their six-strings for about 6 months or so (before trading it away for another bass which I needed more than another guitar hanging on the wall). It was built like a tank and the welding was a work of art (seriously). Tone for days. I was expecting it to be metallic but the sound was rich and deep. I'm very tempted by this one...must resist....need a new amp....

Absolutely awesome bass. I'm afraid I'd get more fingerprints on it than my stainless fridge!

Hey I would love to record some clips but I am not setup for it. Only a web cam with horrible sound. It sounds HUGE, i can say that much but I will see what I can do

Makes one wonder: what's the best metal for bass?

Goofiness aside, the MF page specifies 34" scale and Nordstrand pickups. Two major plusses!

GLWTS!

Wow! Very nice. Would look drop dead gorgeous with a Black Chrome finish.

I see no less than eight finger rest positions. Very versatile!

Definitely worth a bump!
