PRICE DROP- DETAILS BELOW!!!
Now open to 4 string trades as well
NOW FOR SALE!! $1050 SHIPPED. New trades also added at the bottom.
I bought this bass used several months ago. It's a fantastic bass, but I already have two other Fender Jazz Deluxes, and this one is a bit repetative. I'm not is a rush to sell, so I thought I'd throw it out there for some interesting trades and see what surfaces.
The VB is in good condition. Frets are in good condition. There are a few dimples (not through the finish) here and there and a few fingernail marks, but no major dings or scratches. The original hard shell case in in good condition with just a few marks. Fender Truss Rod Tool included. Pictures to follow tonight. None of the dimples or fingernail marks show up in the photographs.
Trades: I'm interested in an equal trade for any four, five or six string, or a trade plus cash on your end. I don't really want to put any extra cash into the trade on my side, but I might throw in a few hundred for the right bass. Manufacturers that interest me include:
Spector
Warwick
Modulus
Sadowsky Metro (plus cash on my end)
EBMM
Pedula
Rickenbacher
I'm pretty open to trades, so throw them at me.
The VB will ship via UPS insured for market value, and trade bass must do the same. No international trades.

Bump.

Bump. | Agreed on the price. I've set it low to sell quickly, since I have another bass in my sights. If I bring a new bass into my house without selling one, my wife may leave me. Somebody's going to get quite a deal.
I should also point out that this bass is wearing brand new Sadowsky Bright Nickel strings and Dunlop Dual Design straplocks. Comes with a Fender Truss Rod tool.

Heck, just the Fender V 2008 std cost more then what you are asking. If I had the extra cash, we would be discussing shipping right now.
Bump

| | I am the Once-ler | | Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Nashville, TN | | | Ok, here's the deal. There is a bass at a local music store that I'm dying to own. However, since my music room is already full of basses, and I desire to stay married, I have to live up to my commitment to my wife of "sell one, buy one." So, to entice anyone sitting on the fence, I am dropping the price of this bass by another $100 to $1050 shipped!!!! These basses sell for $1900 new, and are well worth every penny.
I shouldn't be selling this bass this low, but sometimes you just gotta keep the misses happy. If it doesn't sell quick, and my target bass sells, then I'll either raise the price or take this off the market all together. If you're interested, act now
I will accept paypal!!!

| | I am the Once-ler | | Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Nashville, TN | | | The bass is a 2006. There is no issue with the bridge pickup. As with all Victor Bailey basses, they are very hot on the treble side and there is the slightest bit of hum when the treble is boosted and you aren't touching the strings. I have gigged with this bass multiple times and it isn't a problem in the least.

Thanks. I value my feedback here, so there's no reason not to be honest. The noise from the preamp is not a defect, but it is one of the quirks of this bass. As I said, it's very minor, even at loud gigging volumes.
