NYC Sadowsky 24

SOLD

This is an outstanding bass and if it wasn't for making room for a new VJJ, this would be off the block. An incredible player, great action, tone and very light. Due to a recent transaction that involved bad feedback (received as a buyer, go figure) I'm offering this bass with a 7 day money back policy, as long as you cover shipping back to me. I am that confident in my description. (tonal or ergonomic fits are not covered) I will ship international, but you will need to arrange for shipping
Thank you for looking.............

Does this bass have the vintage tone control feature?

Might be hard to answer, but what does the bass sound like? Not clear on mahogany's tonal character compared to alder or ash.

Thanks!

Thanks!
It does have VTC and the mahogany body seems a bit more resonate and live, but it is hard to tell as I cant't compare it to anything else I have with soaps.

Thanks Chris, I appreciate your support.

I have done multiple high dollar deals with Bob, and he is as good as it gets here on TB IME and IMO. This is (yet another) a superb instrument from Bob that I would not hesitate to make a move on - if I didn't already have a NYC 5 with a Mahogany body and Brazilian fboard (that I got from Bob!). Buy with confidence!

Thanks Tom, every once in awhile you get dinged, but you try to work it out (I think we've done that).
This is a quality instrument with action as low as you can go.

Just adding to what's already been said about Bob -- I wouldn't hesitate for a second to do any kind of transaction with him. He is absolutely above board in ever way.

Here is some information about Amboyna Burl (did not see Lacewood)

Amboyna burl is a particularly expensive type of burl, costing $18.00 b/f to $22.00 b/f, much more than bigleaf maple burl, for example. It comes from Padauk trees (Pterocarpus spp.) of Southeast Asia. Padauk trees are quite common but the burl is extremely rare. The amboyna is usually a deep red, although the more rare moudui burl is the same species but the color is from golden yellow to yellow-orange.

Joel..... Thanks and great PJ5 BTW!

I was the original owner of this bass, I bought it from Roger when he was at the Brooklyn shop. I would describe the tone as tight and focused with a nice mid range punch. You will not get lost in the mix with this bass. Wish I had the $$ to buy it back. Bump for a great bass!

Deal fell through

The deal fell through and is back up for sale! Again I will honor a 7 day return if not as described, this covers defects and workmanship (shipping will be on the buyer).
