Up for your consideration is an VINTAGE EB Musicman Stingray. Not sure of the exact age, but it has the metal battery cover. It is in Natural finish, with a beautiful Fretless fingerboard. The fingerboard is either rosewood or pau ferra (?), not sure, but very smooth! Neck is flawless, made of birdseye maple (highly figured). Has a hipshot D-tuner on it, (it was installed before I got it. Still has the original bridge with the mutes, but looks as though it had another bridge installed at some point. (Thank goodness they replaced it before selling it!) It has the single HB pickup (some stringwear on top, but the p/u still sounds great!) One other mod is, a microswitch between the back two knobs. It offers a broad range of tonal options. This was my main gigging bass for several years, and it always had killer tone, and good dependability. It has a tortoise shell p/g, which looks fantastic, and brings out the grain in the fretboard! Comes with the OHSC in great condition, all latches work, and minimal scratches. Body has very light playwear, but has mild patina from the age. I play Hofners now, so this needs to continue gigging! All in all, a hard value @ $825/ shipped! Thanks for looking! NOTE: I tried to upload pictures, but for some reason, it comes back "failed". But if you are interested, I can send pictures to your email. Thanks, mike.

| | | | VINTAGE EB MM STINGRAY Natural FRETLESS FS/FT! You KNOW how these F/L Stingrays lay it down!!! My question is, what have you got hiding in the closet that you haven't played in a while! This will certainly take your mind off of it! Take a look at the pictures in photobucket, and think about it. The neck and fretboard must be made of butter..., and comes with the clear pickguard that came on it! Tortoise shell guard comes on it, (my fav, anyway)! Let me know what you've got to trade... I'm interested in hollowbody basses, or Gibson EBO in comparable shape. Cash... I'll take $750 plus 1/2 of shipping! Let me know, and thanks, mike. |

If so, any interest in a jazz bass? |

| | | | Bump for a great bass If I can get my Kawai F2b sold quickly - we will be talking |

| | | | I know that I've been terrible about getting back with information, but I work nights, and all I get done is work and sleep! But... the back of the neck is a satin finish over a beautiful, highly figured birdseye maple! Only a couple of small headstock nicks on the edge... not bad for being gigged quite a bit! I've looked, but I don't know where to find a serial #. Overall, this bass and case are in VGC. I would say excellent, but I reserve that to be like " hardly played at all"! A lot of Stingray for a little bit of money! |

| | | | I'll check to see exactly how it is wired. I've never had the control plate off, but seems to be a bass choke with (3) positions, top being boost. That's where I usually left it, but when playing in smaller rooms, I have turned it down to middle position. It really offers more tonal options. It was installed when I bought it, and have never had any trouble with it. Small microswitch located out of the way and neatly done. |
