OLP "Stingray" 4-string Natural

Sign in to disble this ad
OLP "Stingray" bass, with faux "flame maple" top and headstock. Plays amazingly well for a Chinese bass, IMO. A few nicks and scratches are present, which aren't really apparent in the photos. Sorry to see it go. The previous owner shielded the cavity with copper foil, so I guess that's an upgrade. No case.

$250 shipped CONUS. Paypal only.
(Not too interested in trades, though PM me if you have a Fender Jazzmaster/Jaguar/Jagmaster guitar.)

I believe this is the Tony Levin signature, correct me if I'm wrong. Darn good bass for the money.

I have this exact bass but in a 5 string config. I can vouch for it being a surprisingly good and solid bass for a china made one.

Corrected: "No, it is not the Tony Levin sig bass; his is the peach 5-string OLP."

Also his signature would be on the headstock.

This is a good bass, though. Very solid and nice neck on the one I had.

Construction wise and sound wise, how would this compare to say, an SX P Bass? Is it a huge step up?

I am assuming it is passive. What is the control layout?

Yes, passive controls. Same as a jazz: volume front coil, volume rear coil, and tone.
