SOLD-Olympia OB3CE ABG

Sold to Matt (Bass Aficianado)

Nice Olympia OB3CE four string acoustic bass guitar. I bought this on eBay last year and used it at church a couple times, otherwise, it's stayed at home.

The Olympia is the import model of the famous Tacoma Thunderchief. The deep body has a huge woody tone and is reasonably loud even played unplugged. The Olympia is equipped with the well-known Fishman Classic 4 preamp/eq panel, which is the same as used in most of the Michael Kelly ABGs.

Comes with a Tacoma hardshell case and a custom made mahogany feedback buster insert by Lawrence Pimental that fits into the teardrop-shaped soundhole. The bass will ship with LaBella black nylons, which sound terrific.

SOLD. $350 shipped. CONUS/Canada buyers, and Paypal only. These sell for $399 new without the case ($140 new) and soundhole insert ($35). If you bought all this new, it would be probably $600 with shipping.

Someone asked if I would mention specific trade items. I'd trade for G&L L-2500 Tributes and Peavey Grind 5's with cash as needed, and probably have more interest in these trades than for a cash sale at this point.

If you have some fivers, but don't have an acoustic bass guitar in the collection, this is a fine one to trade for.

This is a great acoustic bass for the price and my no worries bass for acoustic jams no matter where/when/how, but it is not a Thunderchief though...fit an finish is pretty good for the price, action not bad out of the box, reasonably loud but you will need some amplification if you are playing with mutiple stringed instruments..I couldn't resist buying it when I found a great deal this past summer, searching online

Thanks, JLE. I agree. It's a fine acoustic at that price point. They have much bigger sound than the lower-end Michael Kellys, for instance.

I don't know if it's clear from the OP, but the bass has a piezo pickup and 4 band Fishman EQ on board. Some of the Tacomas are purely acoustic - no pickup and EQ - but ALL the Olympias do have the Fishman system.

All PM's replied. Dalimus is out of the loop, don't know if Thriller is at this point.

Sunday morning bump, also added specifics in OP about trade possibilities.

Trade possible for G&L L2500 Tributes and Peavey Grind 5's, plus cash as needed.
