I also have a 1998 Jay Turser JTB-440M Music Man Copy Custom. I had the original fretboard removed and replaced with a wonderful solid Maple Fretless w/no lines board. My luthier used an epoxy finish so it looks and feels like there is no finish on it at all! The board and work cost almost $300! It is trans teal a couple of dings and a gouge in the finish, but it is very nice. I would change the guard to a perloid, but too many basses!! $300 for this one..

Also, I have an extremely rare Starfire (that is the manufacturer) 10 string bass! Cherry Sunburst, semi-hollow, floating rosewood bridge, F-holes, and sounds and plays great! Heavy too (Exact weight to follow). Rosewood board, maple neck.. It is a 5 string bass with each string having an octive! The best I can do on this bass is $300 as well..
