I`m still on the fence about this one, so I`m pretty firm on the price. 1996 G&L L2000 in the uncommon black swirl- bowling ball finish with an unlined ebony board. I do believe this is the one of only one that G&L did. Flamey neck, original case, set up nice and growly low with DR SunBeams. All stock with the exception of a three-way switch to give OMG, single coil and parallel, also known as k-switching. Original two-way switch included. Ebony board has no gouges or grooves, and has been (unfortunately) played very little, big warm sound from both pickups, nice j-ish fart when the bridge pup soloèd in single coil neck pup nails the sound of `Hey `You`by Pink Floyd in OMG.
Bass has no issues or stories, the finish is in great shape with ony a tiny bit of clear-coat liftage around the bridge, very, very clean, neck has a few minor `pits`in the back that do not affect playability. No disappointments here, just full disclosure. Ships in the stock G&L molded case. $800 + shipping in Canada and the U.S. I`ll consider overseas, as long as you are willing to pay for insured shipping and all VAT and duties.
Again, I`m not sure I really want to sell this one, so I am firm on my price. Trade-wise, I'm not wild about super skinny necks, but open to offers, StingRay 5, Sterling HS, top-loader G&L slot poles go to the front of the line , as do Interceptors. Would also consider 5'er G&L's. Thunderbird offers welcome.
I`ll post more and better pics tomorrow, but here`s a teaser, wearing black tape-wounds, which are also included.

Truss rod is 100 percent. Neck measures 1- 11/16 at the nut, very thin around the back. Version 1.0 pre-amp with no issues. The ebony fingerboard is one freakin' HUGE slab, and the position markers on the side are on the 'fret' position, not like a de-fretted bass. Hey, if anybody has any other questions, pm me, and I'll answer as fast as I can.
Now, some fresh porn!

I've been looking for a fretless Stingray 5er due to being blown away by how good it sounds to slap em. But I'm also a tried and true G&L advocate only have never yet tried a G&L fretless. |

I like the Tony Franklin/ Pino Palladino sound, and this one nails it, but with huge balls. Currently set up with SunBeams, it growls like a Siberian tiger. Did I mention the K switch, so you can get the single coil Jaco fart?
Top again.
