Thumbs up Parts P-bass - Quilted/Flamed Burst top!!

I just got this bass back, for the second time! It has made the rounds here on TB, but unfortunately, I have to move something, so this is up for sale with some other things.

Nobody seems to know exactly where this bass came from, and since I had it the first time, I think it has had 4 different pups in it. I've tried it with three, an EMG Select, a normal ol' Fender MIM P pickup, and the current pickup, a Seymour Duncan Basslines. The Basslines beats the crap out of everything else I have heard in this bass! Very thumpy and a beast tone-wise! The body looks to be ash, with a flamed/quilted maple top.

Visually, this bass is the complete package for me! The cherryburst is a beautiful finish and the flame/quilt is absolutely breathtaking. If I were to keep the bass, I'd toss on a badass and some flats and call it a day just based on my preferences. It's currently wearing a set of DR Lo-Riders.

The neck is 1.625" at the nut, and the bass weighs in at 8.5 lbs! A lightweight, killer p. I will not be disappointed if nobody is interested!!

My asking price may seem to be a bit high, but frankly, I'd prefer to sell something else first, rather than this.

Asking $550 shipped in a hardshell case.

Pictures... (other pictures can be found in the following thread. FT: Parts P-bass (Fenderized) trade for an amp or a G&L trib)

I may have owned this one at one point Josh...it sure looks familiar.

This is a GREAT P-Bass, lightweight and great tone...what more could you ask for?

Good luck - great bass, excellent guy to deal with!

I've owned it before, too. It really opened up my eyes to P basses. It's definitely a great one.

I love how much a bass can get passed around this community. Pretty sweet.
