Parts P Bass with the very best parts!

Sign in to disble this ad
Here is a killer P Bass. It was put together by me with the "VERY BEST" U.S.A. parts. Comes with a new decent gig-bag. (MF - Musicians friend) The parts list:

1. Light Warmoth Alder body in 3 tone burst. - $405.00
2. Allparts P Bass neck with vintage tint and thick Rosewood fingerboard. - $240.00
3. "GOTOH RES-O-LITE" vintage reverse wind tuners. (These were $175.00 for the set and IMHO they blow away the Hipshot Ultralights...I can't believe how light they are, and they turn very, very smooth)
4. Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Pup's. - $115.00
5. Luxe .1mfd/150vdc tone capacitor - $25.00
6. CTS tone and volume pots. _ $10.00
7. Switchcraft jack. - $4.95
8. Fender vintage style bridge with knurled saddles. ( for better string placement over the pickups) - $30.00
9. Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats. - $50.00

As you can see I have over $1000.00 into this bass before I even got it put together, and I'll ship the bass anywhere in the lower 48 United States for $600.00. The weight is right at 9 lbs. give or take an oz. or two. It is a great playing bass with tons of thick P Bass tone. I would put this bass up against "any" P Bass out there for feel, quality and tone.

And just to let you know, the little white dots you see on the bass in the pics are a reflection from the blinds in the window.

Tusq nut, 9 lbs. and the fret board radius is vintage 7.5".... the neck plays fast and has a very nice feel to it. Thanks!

That's a nice Pbass! Great choice of parts, even down to the strings.

OK... what do I have to do, drop the price to $600.00? OK, then I will. $600.00 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 United States! This P Bass is at the top of the heap as far as the quality of the parts as well as the build. It would be pretty damn hard to find a better playing and sounding P Bass anywhere for this kind of cash.

To answer a few of the PM's I received... MIM and CIJ fall behind this bass. It is on par with the Fender 62 reissue P Bass. And yes the Res-O-Lite tuners are "very" lightweight. They have a 1:28 Gear Ratio, reverse wind. I like them better for looks and feel compared to the Hipshot Ultralights. They are very nice indeed.

Free bump! and a slight rant. Basses like this are outstanding values! Every bass I own right now is like this in that they are top of the line parts put together in a knowledgeable way. MIM MIJ are you kidding? with something like this you are talking Lull, Lakland...ect. It's a shame that Parts basses get looked down on. It's been said here many times any Fender style instrument is a parts bass. Sadowsky, Valenti, Coppolos Ya know? All great parts basses Anyway My apologies for the rant. If I had the dough I would not hesitate.

I would just like to say that the set up on this bass is to die for. Low action with "zero" fret buzz. Intonation is spot on and pickup height is perfect. It absolutely plays like a dream. I also appreciate the kind words.
