Recent EB4 model. J-style pickups, but I'd say this bass achieves a very good Precision/Jazz meld; it's got more punch and low end than your typical J. Active boost, but the tone is pretty consistent in both active and passive modes. The coolest thing about it is the neck; gorgeous birds on maple, and a nice, slightly wide, slightly flat'ish late 50's P-bass vibe. It plays smooth and effortless.

I bought this bass new several years ago; it's been gigged, but I took good care of it and it's in near mint condition. Comes with gig bag and PRS case candy.

$1200 shipped in conus.

Active and passive. The controls are Vol-Blend-treble rolloff, I believe, in passive mode. The switch activates an active EQ circuit with a preset curve that, in their ad literature, PRS said was designed with input from "top bassists" to mimic the bass tone on classic recordings. It sounds to me like a good J-bass tone with a strong bottom and bright highs. The treble rolloff control affects the sound in active mode but performs no other function.
