Peavey all Koa Unity (Dyna) bass

I'm selling my Peavey Unity all koa neck thru body 4 string. This is the passive version. It was pretty rough when I got it a few weeks ago, but I cleaned it up pretty good, refinished it with teak oil, and polished it up with warwick wax. It's set up lefty, but I will gladly put a new nut on it and set it up righty if you'd like. Or I can leave it as is and you can set it up yourself if you're so inclined. There are dings and scratches pretty much all over it (gotta love those oil/natural wood finishes) and I inlayed position markers into the underside (left handed) of the neck. Still, it plays great and sounds nice. The pickups are pretty good, the electronics work fine, but the output jack is loose, so it crackles if the plug moves. It didn't bother me (I played it upside down, so the plug didn't move much), but it is probably a pretty easy fix. I'll leave the schaller straplocks on and include the strap end locks with the bass. I'll also include a tin of the Warwick polish and a levy's gig bag with the Gruhn guitars logo on the accessory pocket.

Bottom line, the koa is beautiful, the bass plays great, sounds great, and would make a great instrument for somebody. I'm looking at getting a 5 string so this one has to go to keep the wife happy.

I'm asking $250 plus shipping in the CONUS.
Thanks

Great bass. When they first came out, I tried to get one with the Super Ferrites rather than the PJ setup, but it would not have been easy, so I passed on the Unity Koa. I ultimately picked one up about ten years ago and put TI Jazz Flats on it...one of the sweetest 'organic' sounding basses I have played...and the wood is gorgeous...and pretty rare these days. Good luck with the sale...it's an excellent price for this instrument.

I bought one of these new in 91. It was a fine instrument and the koa was just amazing to look at. Good luck with the sale.

I have one just like it but with Rio Muy Grandes in it. Incredible neck and body and lightweight. Someone should jump on this.

Yes I do, thought I had it sold, but the potential buyer hasn't gotten back to me.

That's a nice bass. I guess you could call it a poor man's BB3000.

I see a tax refund temptation!

Peavey

Druling here. Nice bass at a good price. If I moved on this now, I would be in court, sorting properties.
