I said I would never sell it. A few years ago I joined here and accumulated about 8 or 9 basses after I joind a band as a bass player. Well I went back to guitar and started selling off all of my basses. Some nice stuff went but one remained. My first. Early American Peavey Cirrus. I said I would never sell it. I shouldn't have said never!

So it has been just sitting there. I got the new sweepable mid pre installed and I put on a brand new set of strings but forgot this was a 35 inch scale. Hey I am a guitar player lol. So I put a little piece of paper between the nut and the string because as you all know the string tapers at the end. Since the new sweepable mid pre was installed it will need a stacked knob and it doesn't have a case. Some how in my clusteryouknowwhat move right befor Christmas it has been missing but it has a REALLY nice Spector gigbag. This is a players bass so it has some dings. It does have a little grooving between the neck and the front pup when my nails would hit it while slapping. Also has one of those Hipshot tuners.

This is my baby and it's hard to sell but it never gets used so since I sold off a bunch of guitars too I mifght as well sell this. Taking my family to Disney World is way more important to me. It is pictured with EMGs but now back to stock!! I like it better that way. 525.00 plus shipping and insured!

LOL I thought so too. I want it gone quick before I change my mind. Also the grooving I mentioned cant be seen unless you get pretty close. In the pic I tried to make the flash hit it real good so it would sho up in the pic. Other pics I have you cant see it.

!!!SOLD!!! Payment received. I will be sending this out tomorrow. Thanks Tall&stout. No exaggeration here. I am going to miss it. I love this bass. It was the best of the 9 I owned which included a Lakland, Modulus and some Fenders. By far for the money the best bass hands down imo. Not even close.

I know it's sold, but I'm curious about the pickups. How do the EMG's differ from the stock pickups?

Well the bass has been sitting in a gig bag for 2 years with no pups or pre. I decided to sell it and not let it waste away so I had the new sweepable pre and stock pups installed. The original pre bit the dust. So I am going off memory here. The EMGs sounded fine. Actually really good. Very modern sounding. I also had two Cirrus 5ers with the stock pups in them and imo the stockers were not as harsh and had a bit more growl to them. The EMGs were great on Korn style stuff but I preferred the stockers which is why I pulled the EMGs and got ready to install the new pre and pups but jumped at the chance to play guitar again in the same established band and we hired a new bass player. So it sat awhile.

Why are you torturing me like this ?? I would've bought it in a HEARTBEAT had I seen it. ... even without pre or pups.
