Peavey Cirrus 6 USA Redwood

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
Up for sale is an incredible USA Peavey Cirrus bass. It is a 6 string, alder wings, with purple heart and maple neck through, redwood top, merado fretboard, 18v active electronics, Volume/Blend/3 Band Eq, Gold hardware, hardshell case, strap locks, and a nice leather Levy's strap. Easiest playing bass that I've ever owned. Super comfy neck, balances well, low action. I've used this bass on quite a few recordings and tours over the past eight years or so. Only issue is a little bit of a scratchy mid pot. Get some pot cleaner at Radio Shack and spray it out or spend $80 to upgrade to the Millenium preamp from Peavey. List is $2600 on this bass. I'm asking $800 w/ shipping included in the lower 48. Minor standard playwear...ie a few scratches here and there the original owner took the gloss off of the back of the neck (plays like BUTTAH!) and a small mark on the tip of the head stock. The only issue that I've ever had in 8 years with this bass was the battery wire came undone and I took it to have it resoldered. Aside from that this thing has been a tank...but I've got an itch for a custom built SB5000. Feel free to ask any questions!

I have 100% feedback on ebay (user name Learning_towalk)

In action at a festival gig I played a few years ago.

If the scrunchy works, go for it! What is the string spacing on these?

I think it's 17mm. Very comfortable! The neck is farily flat on the back, so it's actually more comfortable in my hands than most 5 strings that I've played. Sound is even across the strings.

That is correct, 17mm std with a small side to side adjustability on all saddles. And, great playability. Nice bass and great price BTW!

If I remember right, the song Maisha on
www.myspace.com/tonyneely was recorded with it.

Here's a quick video clip from youtube...quality isn't that great but you get a feel for it.

I've had several people write to ask about the weight...

I used a very scientific method (get on a scale with bass, get on scale without bass and subtract) the bass came out to 10 pounds even...but it really doesn't feel it to me, especially with the nice leather levy's strap! Strapped on this puppy feels like it weighs half as much as my Ash SX 5 string.
