I will most likely regret this...
I am a Peavey Cirrus super freak. I own more than a few USA's now, and in my opinion, they are the best kept "secret" out there with a huge cult following. Yes, I know, it's an oxymoron.
I just couldn't resist buying this CIRRUS very recently from a fellow TB'er. I've always wanted a Claro Walnut. I find that the sound of this bass is near perfect. It is boomy, but articulate. A lot of growl. It makes my walnut/wendge sound thin, but I love the neck of my w/w. I love my Michael Dolan custom CIRRUS. My walnut/bubinga gets me so many compliments... As you can see, I am confused !! Well, kind of.
This bass is a rare beast. It still has the new sticker on the back. The previous owner played it a few times, and under the bed it went. In doing so, the wood was neglected a little, leaving it dry. I have spend A LOT of time reconditioning the wood, carefully. I have brought it back to it's new showroom condition. I also did a full setup on it ; truss rod, string spacing, intonation, height, new DR Blackbeauties 40-100. The action is SO LOW and there is ZERO fretnoise. The hardshell case is included.
Walnut body, claro walnut top Alembic style with a thick piece of walnut split in half so the left and right sides mirror each other, with matching headstock, and Peavey block letters on the headstock. This is a 2005 model, and I believe 2006 was the last year of the block lettering.
$850 shipped to lower 48 USA only, please. I reserve the right to change my mind, so act quickly before I can do so !
