This is my Peavey 5 string Dyna Bass. I don’t remember the year, most probably in the 80s. Black with rosewood board, the neck is straight. It is currently strung with a high C. I used this bass a lot and there is ample proof on the back as far as buckle rash. Also, some fret wear, but not that much as I often used flats. ( I always wonder about those basses that are 20 years old with zero wear...how great can they be, if no one ever used them? )
For those who don’t know, these Dyna Basses have a surprisingly wide range of tones available. This would make a great beginner or intermediate 5 string bass. I have really enjoyed this bass a lot. I have simply decided I am more of a 4 string kind of guy. $300 shipped with a non descript gig bag.

Yes, you can make it sound like so many different basses. Plus, when you want it, they absolutely growl! And the neck is super fast. My workhorse is a red 89 4 string Dyna-B. Again, wish I could.

The super ferrite pickups in these basses make for a unique - yet versatile - sound. Bump for a great trip down memory lane. |

No info in your profile here. | Hi, I am in Montreal, Canada. Quite a ways off from you for a test drive, unfortunately. But I feel like I have described this bass quite well.
I am certainly open to any and all questions or comments.
I haven't owned any other Peavey basses, but $300 for USA made 5 string seems quite reasonable to me.

Although I have answered questions through PMs, I am certainly open to speaking on the phone. Can't beat open discussions to make sure both parties are comfortable.

I've sold him two G&L Tribby SB2's, but both were through TalkBass "word-of-mouth", so I wasn't able to leave him feedback. We corresponf frequently to discuss all things bass, you won't find a nicer guy to deal with!! |

For those interested in feedback, I've also bought a bass on Ebay and have feedback there.
PMs have been replied. There is some solid interest in this bass.

I had the evil twin. They shared black hardware, but mine was gloss white with black highlights/logo. It's been a while but I seem to recall the neck was also painted white with a dark dark rw fretboard. It was one of those right place at the right time deals and I sold a nice older p bass to cover what I spent on the dyna. It came during a vicious cycle of buy a p bass, play it for a while and then just out of the blue go back to Peavey and regret ever leaving in the first place. Play the peavey for a while then see a nice looking p up for sale and...
Really nice bass...
