Thumbs up Peavey G Bass w/OHSC

Sign in to disble this ad
Pretty much like new w/OHSC. Plastic still on the cavity covers. Red Sparkle. VERY light (seller had it listed as 8.2 lbs, and I get 8.0 lbs), and very powerful. Just had it professionally set up. Picked it up from the original-owner to try it out, but just not my thing. Tiny area of extremely light scuffing on the very tip (side) of the headstock that I could not photograph. Really not noticeable. PICS:

$475 shipped $450 shipped to the lower 48. Sorry, no trades or international shipping. thanks!

Smile Great bass!

I have a couple Peavey Millenniums. I've been looking at possibly trying one of these beauties... You said, "but just not my thing." What doesn't fit with your style? Is it too modern sounding? The neck doesn't feel right? (This has held me back from going to graphite - I like the very smooth maple necks on my Mills.)

Thanks!

The bass is really great. Very light and well balanced. I find the neck very smooth and comfortable, and this coming from a guy that likes tung oiled backed necks.
I'm currently enjoying a more traditional "P Bass" sound at the moment. That along with the fact that I really don't need an additional bass, is why I am selling. I wasn't really looking for a replacement bass, but I've always wanted to try one, so I figured I would pick it up.

Mojo...

The neck will be in the same feel you're used to... sleek and skinny.

Many will comment that the Gbass is akin to a telecaster... they magnify/amplify technique (good or sloppy).. it's a very articulate bass with long sustain.

Folks that were brought up on Fenderish passive basses commonly do not enjoy them as a Pbass(ish) passive hides tons of sins that a bass like this will transfer to the forefront.

A Millenium preamp conversion warms them up.

You can always resell -- Gbasses were way out of favor a few years ago... the word got out to compare them to a Modulus Flea or FU

The necks are in the same vibe as a late dyna/fury etc...

Youtube has tons of DI clips of a Modulus sound.

Looks like a nice dealio.

Not a fair comparison.. it's like comparing a Lakland to a Modulus -- different beasts.

Is the "G" in GAS for "graphite?" I'm sick. I need help.

graphite

The right graphite neck is very forward and present and can be manipulated by string choice from flats to stainless rounds. They dont need truss rod adjustments when the weather changes. The going price on a Moses neck is 300.00 to 750.00! I have three graphites right now or I would buy this!
