EDIT: see new info in post #10 below.
I picked this up with the idea of cleaning it up and using it, but too much else to do. This is an all-original T40 that I bought from the original owner. He hadn't played it much since the '80s, which shows. Everything works, but it needs cleaned up: there's a little oxidation on almost all the metal parts, and the frets are dirty. The bass shows some wear, but not much for its age other than the oxidation.
I haven't done a thing to this bass since I got it, so it's as is, but would be a great project for someone who wants to put in a little elbow grease and get it set up to play. Best part is it comes with the original case, which is awesome (and worth quite a bit on its own). The case is in better shape than the bass too.
Asking $300 shipped to the continental US.

Best of luck with the sale.

I spent a little time with this today. I'm happy to say that the truss rod is fully functional, and I have no doubt that the bass could be set up to your taste. I also cleaned up some of the body and metal parts a little. The frets are still a little gunky, but in good shape.
Taking offers........
