I had one of these with those same pickups and and preamp and it sounded just killer. This bass is way prettier than the TL5 I had and I do miss the one I had . In fact I sold it to MNAirhead , he's pretty much a Peavey bass expert/collector . Too bad I don't have the funds , I'd love to have another one.

His TL5 is translucent black/purple. This one looks much better.
Unfortunately I can't justify giving it a new home this year.
Some one will get a very nice bass.
the Peavey forum (the Whammy bar and grill) may have a section on estimating manufacture date of bass from the serial number http://forums.peavey.com/
