So I got this off eBay a long time ago and of course, it had a bunch of issues that were not disclosed. It had a funky homemade pickguard and replacement pickups, but I didn't know about these large routes under the pickguard. Plus the nut and first 15 frets are chewed up and need to replaced.
All joints are solid, neck is straight, the back is beautiful and the wood is gorgeous. I was going to strip it down, route off the top and install a new exotic wood top and refinish it. Or get some custom pickup covers done to cover the routes (5.75" x 2.25" would cover all of the routed area). But I've got more projects than I can handle right now. Add to that the fact that I'm just not comfortable on a six-string and voila, you have this for sale thread.
Selling the bass for $225 shipped.Includes the original gold tuning keys and Kahler bass bridge. International shipping is no problem, just PM me for a quote.
I dunno. Pickguard MIGHT help. You could use OverLapping Jazz Pups in a P-Bass pickup configuration. I'll bet this bass was a GAS in it's day...My TL-5 was Great!
