PEAVEY USA 1st Generation (late 80's) TL-5 Neck-Thru 5-String (TL5)

Got this super nice Peavey TL-5 in transparent black finish recently but just bought another few instruments and need to move it. For those that don't know, the TL5 was designed for Tim Landers, a noted session player and producer. This was Peavey's top-o-the-line bass at the time and street price was over a $1000 (and that was back in the 80's!).

Neck through body construction with multi-laminate neck, flame maple body wings, passive Super Ferrite pickups, active preamp with bypass, very flexible circuit that gives you a ton of tonal vaiation. Here's the full spec sheet: http://www.peavey.com/assets/literat...s/80300932.pdf

The bass is in excellent condition for being as old as it is. No major dents, dings or cracks, just light surface scratches/scuffs from normal use. The previous owner moved the strap button right next to the original location, but I had the strap button reinstalled and the new hole filled/touched up. The battery cover was loose, so the previous owner added screws to keep it on - very functional. Truss rod cover is missing. Neck is straight, action is low with GHS strings (plenty of life left). Ships in a non-original black tolex bass case (covered in stickers, handle is busted but the latches work and the interior is clean).

SELLING FOR $550 SHIPPED IN THE US. International shipping is no problem, just PM me for a quote. No trades right now...got a ton of gear that needs to go!

Free bump for a beauty! Side note - I hate Peavey's choice of location for the strap button on the upper horn. Very difficult to access when installing straplocks.

I have the next version, and this bass has a better finish and is in better condition. Don't sit and think about this one--execute on your G.A.S.!!!

Excellent bass bump. It would be very hard to find a better bass for the price.
