Well, I bought this 2003 redwood/alder USA Peavey Cirrus bass here on Talkbass a few weeks ago, and it needed some TLC. Everything was loose, it was dirty, the headstock overlay was coming off and it was missing an saddle for the bridge.
ALL of this has been fixed. It is now good to go, plays and sounds great, and is strung with Lakland longscale light flats... it sounds killer. It has been played and shows it, and it has some luv marks... the frets are good. Tone wise, this bass reminds me much of my old Ken Smith that I had and sold for a similar reason.
Apparently, I have yet to learn my lesson: I don't like basses with more than 4 strings.
So, I would like to trade this for something that has 4 strings and says:
Fender (USA), Lakland Skyline, or Ernie Ball Musicman (SUB) on the headstock.
I will include a gig bag.
Lemme know what you got.

Gotta be honest, not interested in the Carvin. Only Fenders and Fender clones. Thanks. |

I would just like to comment on the headstock since I had a few pm's about how I did it and how tough it was to remove.
Lets just say this... It was hard. The overlay is actually something like epoxy impregnated fiberglass. Chem strippers will do nothing to it. It is a woven material and was a bee-otch to remove and had to be done layer at a time with a razor (very slowly and carefully so as not to nick the wood or myself).
