For sale is one great condition Peavey Cirrus 5-string bass guitar with custom fit case. Has one small scratch on rear and one small imperfection in the finish on the 5th fret (will take photos when my batteries charge).
Specs:
Walnut Body, black veneer w/ Bubinga Cap
Walnut/Maple Neck
Pau Ferraro Fingerboard
Graphite Head
Gold and Black Hardware
This is a serious bass. Super quiet, perfect for studio work. Every tone. I have a few reasons for selling this bass. Despite its playability, I can't justify having multiple high-end instruments when I'll have student loans to pay in a few months. Also, I don't really play it much any more because of my SSII 4-string.
Serious inquiries only please. Send me an e-mail to request more specific photos, or to make an offer. Money order preferred.
Thanks for looking.
$825USD + shipping. Offers welcome. No trades at this time, unless you are willing to drive to Ottawa, then I might make an exception !

String spacing is about 17.5mm at bridge.
Its a custom shop simply because that's what Peavey calls them. Built to order.
Thanks for looking.

Newer custom shop models feature the upgraded sweepable mids. Older custom shop models usually just featured a custom color. |

It just sucks that the dollar has become 33% more expensive over a month...

Regardless of the custom shop tagline, it is an excellent bass, both in terms of craftsmanship and playability. Its a great bass, but I just don't have time to play it anymore.
Thanks for looking.
***might consider trades for 5- or 6- string fretless basses of equal value***
PM me if interested. |

One scratch on the plastic electronics cover, one tiny scratch on the back of the lower horn, and one slight imperfection in the finish on the 5th fret.
Thanks! |

| | There's more music in the nuance than the notes. Staff, Bass Gear Magazine | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: Central Illinois | | | Truly great bass and that's a nice price too. I had this exact model for two years and it's clean, aggressive, versatile, and particularly quiet in noisy venues (a pretty big feature for me, actually).
If you don't mind me stepping in on the whole custom shop thing, it's true this is not one of the "made to order" models... it's a "standard" USA Cirrus. HOWEVER, they are made in the same shop by the same people, so there's absolutely no difference in quality.
The only difference is, as previously pointed out, is the made to order ones come standard with the sweep mids preamp and have lots more options for woods, inlay, hardware, etc. That's why it's confusing. If you tag it as a "custom shop" model, that tends to indicate to people it's one of the made to order models with something different vs the standard USA models, including the upgraded preamp. That's all. Hopefully no biggie here especially since great photos are posted, so there should be no confusion as to what's being sold.
FWIW, anyway. |

FWIW, anyway. | +1 that pretty much sums up the custom shop moniker.
I also had this version, albeit, in 6 string form and it played and sounded great. The best action of any bass I have owned and a lot cheaper.
