THIS is the best bass for metal, btw. Somebody pick this up - you will love it.

Yea, +1. I love these. Maybe I can sell something real quick. This would go good with my USA Millennium.

How do you like the Elixirs on this bass? Elixirs are my favorite strings but I am still using the original strings on my DE Scorpio. I was thinking of going ahead changing over to Elixir's and was curious was your experience was.

I've always liked these strings, and usually install them on all my basses. I love the tension and feel.
I don't know what the original strings were on this bass, but the Elixers gave it that extra clarity and punch/pop.
