Pedulla Pentabuzz 5

SOLD

This is a great fretless bass. The tone is very Jacoesque, fast and sweet. It's just a spacing issue for me (feels a little tight). The bass is in remarkable condition (8.5 out of 10) no dings, but it has some player's wear, swirling and some superficial scratches. You can understand why these are $4000 plus instruments and you can buy this at a fraction of that cost. Even tone and playability from the lowest note to the highest. Upgraded with a Seymour Duncan 3 band pre with active/passive and a passive tone for a truer Jaco sound (upgrade was made by the previous owner). Everything thing works perfectly and it comes with a Sadowsky Mooradian Gig Bag and truss rod tool. Here is the site: http://www.pedulla.com/html/home_page.html

Gorgeous. I already have one, but a little part of me wants to buy this anyway, 'cause I love it so much. I'd be sleeping on the couch if I did, though One of my two dream fretless basses.

You mentioned a spacing issue. Is this 17mm, 18mm or 19mm at the bridge?

Could you explain the control layout and what does the Seymore pre have over the original Bart pre?

I beleive they make a 17.5mm version and a 19mm version. Did you find it too narrow for you, or too wide?

FWIW, the string spacing is somewhat adjustable on this bridge. You can just spin the little wheels the string passes across, and they go side to side. Not sure exactly what the range is, though, as I've never futzed with mine. It just happened to be about right as it was
