PIMPED REGGIE HAMILTON...SADOWSKY,NORDSTRAND P/J'S,GOTOH

OK...this is bittersweet for me. I have just bought a 69 jazz that i'm really excited about...now to pay for it...sigh. I have just built this the way I wanted it...and it's everything I envisioned it to be. I have a vintage Sadowsky, so I can't really justify to my wife keeping a bass that has the same vibe when I owe money for another...here goes.

Fender Reggie Hamilton, I have put a Sadowsky pre, knobs, and vtc $200...Nordstrand P/J pick-ups ($200)...Gotoh Bridge ($50)...and about $100 to get all this installed. All in all I have over $1,200 in her PLUS I will add a Fender G&G case which isn't cheap...so now you're looking at over $1,300. The bass is in excellent condition...has five pin tip size dings on the back (actually looks like the wood grain unless you're looking)...overall I'd give it a 9 out of 10. The case has two metal feet missing and is in perfect shape besides that (barely used...not sure how the feet we're knocked off)...it's on the flat side though...so it sits upright just fine.

$1,099 shipped and paypal accepted.

I hate to put money in a bass and turn around and loose some, but no choice. I built this bass to keep it for a long time...someone will be VERY happy.

Thanks!

BTW...

I won't say NO trades...but a trade would have to be very much in my favor to mess with (because i'm only selling to pay for the other bass)...otherwise you wouldn't pry this bass out of my dead hands

So help me with the mods a little, and please forgive my uneducated question: is this a passive bass? with the pre-amp, can you dial it out so that it plays in passive mode? Looks great, and I have been looking for a P/J, but all I have to offer is a trade for my '72 P-bass, but that would require some money on your end which I know is not what you are wanting... Very nice looking bass! How much does it weigh?

This is basically like a Fender/Sadowsky With the pre in you have vol/pan/tone/and stacked bass&treble ...pull the tone knob up and it turns the pre off...then you have old school booty...vol/pan/tone...the Sadowsky pre-amps are about the best on the market...they just boost highs and lows...do not color the pick-up tone.

As for a trade...the only reason I'm selling this is to pay off my 69 jazz...I don't have much out of pocket cash, but you can feel free to pm me an offer. Thanks!
