IMHO of course!!
I had 2 of these identical basses built last winter, and have decided to put one up for sale. The other one has slightly more and deeper grain, so I've decided to keep that one.
In a nutshell:
Custom made swap ash body finished in clear nitro lacquer. NOT A MARK ON IT! Wonderful MIJ Geddy Lee Jazz neck and tuners. Ash and maple..the BEST combination for tone in the world! Brand new BadAss II bridge. All brand new custom electronics, hand-wired pots, cap, jack, etc. Brand new super hot Seymour Duncan overwound SPB-2 alnico V-rod pickups...actually reading 22.4K !! Huge, HUGE, HUGE sound!! (passive)
Plays and fingers ridiculous easy and low with no buzz or issues. Weighs in at about 10 lbs.
These basses were built to my specs by Tom @ Evolution Guitar, IMO the best builder/tech on the east coast.
This bass will absolutely blow away ANY USA Precision Bass that you put up against it! PERIOD!
Price is $1250 (gotta be firm on this one)...but part trades are possible.

But I'll be damned if you don't speak the truth....
And the price is a temptation of utter significance...
Damn you, my friend, this is a pornstar. |

Mine has a Fender 50's Classic 2TSB body, a Bad Ass II bridge (like yours does) and a real (not repro) 1963 Precision pickup (with a cream p/u cover over it). Mine is not for sale for a good reason.
P's with Geddy necks are something very special. Fat P tone with a FAST neck. The best of both worlds! Good luck w the sale!

| | | | That is really fantastic. If it were lefty I'd be in a serious bind right now, so *whew*. Just out of curiosity, is that a 3 piece body? It kind of looks like the main block of body is one piece and then there's an additional piece on each end to help form the horns. Is that right? If so that would almost be a slab body for all practical purposes. Very, very nice. |
