Possible FS Feeler- Fender Power Jazz Special

Sign in to disble this ad
Not quite a year ago I acquired an active 1986 Fender Power Jazz Special from a fellow forumite. (heb9_28) It's white with a few small but nasty dings on the front and some light corrosion on the bridge. I keep it in a hardshell SKB Freedom case. I love the sound of this bass but I'm not currently playing in a band situation and I no longer need two basses.

I'm not even sure what the bass is worth. I made a straight trade for a G&L Tribute SB2, so moneywise??? I know what I would like to get for it but for now I'm just feeling out offers to see what comes up. May be willing to sell for the right price. (No trades. Sorry but I need/want cash more than a bass right now.) If anyone would happen to know the bluebook on one of these, that would be appreciated.

Here's the one pic I have of it for now. I will try to get some close ups posted in the next couple of days to show the flaws I mentioned.

I'd like to see $500 for the bass & case plus actual shipping but that may or may not be unrealistic. Even though I have a beautiful custom made bass, I find it hard to let this one go because is my first "real Fender." I'm trying to fight with the logic of need money VS love this bass.

New closeup pics.
The two worst dings are highlighted. There are a few that wouldn't show up no matter how I tried photographing them. You can also sort of make out the corrosion on the bridge around the E and A strings. They can still be intoned however and nothing on here affects the playability of this bass.

I'm open to offers if there are any.
Again, I would be glad to know if anyone has a bluebook price on these as well.

Sold to Dub56 for $350 cash money.
Not as much as I wanted but I cut him a deal since he drove for an hour to come pick it up locally.
