Pre Gibson Tobias Signature "Alert"

Anyone see the Signature 5 for sale on eBay? I'm just mentioning it here because I know there are always a few people looking. Nice looking bass but a typically stratospheric price for eBay. Guess you can't blame a guy for trying to make up for what he's gonna lose in fees. Either way, a beautiful bass. Don't see many of these coming up for sale. Weird thing is these seem to be rarer sales than Wals and Carl Thompsons recently

Back in the day........the Basics accounted for 55% of sales, while the Classics accounted for 45%.....Signatures accounted for 5% of total sales. Most likely due, in part, price point. This is a rare bass and the value is ......of course.....subjective. $4K for a Zebrawood Signature is probably not a bad price. My opinion only!

I agree that $4k is a reasonable price for a Sig. 5K seems a bit high. Then again they definitely do not grow on trees.

It's really pre nashville not pre gibson even though Mike and crew still made the bass. I have a signature 6 in lacewood. Always wanted a zebrawood.

It looks similar to mine, just a few years earlier. I paid $4K, plus freight from Greece to Sydney, which was quite a bit!
