This is a bass I put together from parts I had here, and honestly, it is a great sounding and playing Precision Bass. I used threaded inserts to attach the neck AND the bridge, and I can't say for sure that it is the reason this bass sounds and feels so good, but I'm sure it didn't hurt.
Anyway, here is what it is constructed of:
*Genuine FENDER MIM Precision body
*Might Mite neck (re-shot and tinted in nitro lacquer)
*MIM Fender tuners
*Fender vintage style bridge w/threaded saddles
*OLD set of EMG Select pickups (these sound surprisingly good !)
*SX neck plate
*CTS pots
*Sprague "Orange Drop" capacitor
*D'Addario Chromes flat wound strings
The body had an ugly route under the pickguard that I cleaned up. The bass weighs somewhere around 8 to 8.5 lbs I would guess - seems around the same weight as my 69, which is 8.2lbs. It has a great tone, really aggressive and sweet P tone that backs off nicely with the tone knob. The action is nice and low, and the bass is really just a nice, solid instrument. I would happily put it against a MIA P Bass any day.
Anyway, due to some bills, I'm trying to raise some cash, so I'm offering it up for sale....whoever gets it will be getting a really nice Precision Bass.
SOLD !
