SOLD FOR $1400. IT'S OFF TO GOLF HEAVEN (Flordia)!
Hello All,
For your consideration, I have a minty EBMM Sterling Classic in Black & Maple. These are the newer EBMM basses that have 6 bolt necks, string mutes, string through body bridges and 2-band EQ's. This bass has no issues and everything is as it should be. It has had a stock EBMM Stingray pickup installed, so it is basically a lighter, faster 2-Band Stingray. I also have the Sterling pickup in case you would prefer it. It is strung with TI Jazz Flats, but I have a set of EB Super Slinkys and will include those. I should also mention this comes with the OHSC and shipped in the factory box. If there are any pictures requests, let me know.
The ONLY bass I would be interested in working a trade out for would be a Rickenbacker 4001 or 4003 Fretless.
These go for $1800 new without a pickup swap option, so I am going to go $1500 shipped via FedEx ground. Let me know if you have any questions or additional picture requests. If interested, PM me as I will see that quicker.
Thanks for looking,
LEL

I got this a couple of months ago from a local guy who got it new from The Perfect Bass. He was selling it because he had recently got into Fender Jazzes and needed to pay for a Custom Shop bass he had ordered. To my knowledge he never gigged it and decided he was really a Fender guy and it looked like he had barely played it. I LOVED how it felt, especially the neck, but really I dig the Stingray tone over the Sterling, but my smaller hands make a Stingray neck a bit uncomfortable. So I got the bass, tracked down a stock EBMM Stingray pickup and I had a lighter, faster 2-band Stingray. I A/B'd it next to a Stingray Classic and they are identical in tone IMO. I got a wiring diagram from EBMM to help with the pickup change and they told me on the phone the preamp is the same on all the Classic models. This bass has never left the house and I am not a smoker, so no concerns there.
The only reason I am looking to sell is that I got the chance to hear a Ric Fretless and I cannot get that tone out of my head! I really want to play jazz and that bass does it for me. I am selling because I have to sell something to get something else and my only other bass is a Ric 4003, which is my main bass, so that's that. The Classic is a wonderful bass that is so easy to play and well-made, but I can’t have both…
Anyway, if anyone is interested, PM and let me know.
LEL
