PRICE DROP! Lakland USA 55-94 Deluxe Fretless - Formerly Owned by Bakhiti Kumalo!

Sign in to disble this ad
Sold to mburd (pending payment)!

I recently bought one of Bakhiti Kumalo's old basses (I am the second owner). My lined fretless USA 55-94 Deluxe (originally built for and previously owned by Bakhiti Kumalo, and I confirmed this with the Kirk @ Lakland). I don't think I love playing fretless enough to keep her. , but the bass sure is beautiful and plays great and sounds amazing! Setup is medium (not terribly high or low).

She's a 2003, serial 6597. Ultra-light - Weighs 7.85 lbs according to my cheap scale! Couple of dings on the back (see pictures in link). Some minor fingerboard wear (very minimal and normal wear). Also a very small ding under the bridge lip (very hard to see). Bass is in excellent shape other than the few minor items mentioned above. Comes with HSC. BIG price drop to $1699 + ship (FIRM) which is very cheap as there is another 55-94 fretless for sale here at TB for $2200 and that one is NOT a Deluxe like this one (mine costs more new).

Lots more pics---> http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/f...94%20Fretless/

I'm interested..
I've never owned a Lakland, so pardon me while I ask a few silly q's:
String spacing at bridge ?
Nut width?
Looks like an ebony board?
35" scale?
reply to mburd at gwi dot net if ye can..
Thanks,
Mike
