PRICE LOWERED - 1998 Fender V Deluxe MIM Jazz w/gigbag

Sign in to disble this ad
I wanted to keep this bass, but I can't. I have too many right now and can't justify keeping it.
I am the second owner. The first owner bought this NOS and decided he wasn't into 5 string basses.

It has the single-pole pickups designed by John Suhr (Pensa Suhr) when he was with Fender. The 3-band active eq gives a lot of tonal options. B string is nice on this one. It's really a sweet bass.

There are no dings, dents, or buckle rash. There is the normal swirls on the pickguard, but that's it. It's in mint condition. I cut the original Fender strings off when I got it. I applied lemon oil to the board and put a new set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys on it. Comes with a gigbag.

DROPPED: $480 shipped CONUS.
Would trade for a 55-01 or 44-01.
Or for a UL-112 or PS-112.

Need cash for this one. Great bass that I thought I could hold onto, but I need to sell it.

Thanks man! The board looks even better in person. I hope I don't regret selling this one, but I've got a JO5 heading my way and already have a Fender V that I can't sell. The rule is that if one comes in, one has to go out. So this is the last one and it's gotta go.

$480 shipped CONUS and I'll take care of the paypal fees.

The pre makes it crazy versatile and there's not a ding on it!

...and I m telling myself... "you really want a maple board, you really want a maple board". Got a Ken Lawrence I am trying to sell, if i had it sold, this would be a very tough call, because i had convinced myself to get a KSD as an inexpensive backup. Fenders just have the tone.

Thanks fellas! It is a great bass, I just have to let one go.

I bought it to route the front location for a P pickup so I'd have a P/J. But I think it's a killer jazz bass and too sweet as is to route. IMO, but I like these pickups way better than the newer Noiseless.
