This is a rebuild of a black painted gothic body that I purchased on E-bay. Not sure what the manufacturer was. I added a neck to the bass and entirely stripped the body down to the base lacquer coat. I then distressed the base coat so that the walnut stain would show in patches depending on the angle of the wood grain in the ash body. I veneered the flat part of the body with walnut burl. I then installed mighty mite passive soapbars and built a walnut ramp with my logo in fiddleback maple. (the ramp can be removed as it is held in place with double stick tape)

Here is an audio clip: http://www.gminet.com/gems/gothic 1.wav

(Kind of hard to read a bright font against a bright background.)
