Hi there,

I bought the body couple of years ago, just for the heck of it. It's a slab chunk of ash wings with spalted birch top, center block is made of alder with walnut stripes. I rubbed in 15 layers of tung oil. I routed it for jazz pickups (position kinda like my Ibanez 70' jazz copy). It sports BA II black bridge and originally had J-Retro Deluxe preamp (cavity shielded with aluminum foil). The neck pocket originally fitted perfectly to the graphite Bogart Jazz replacement neck. It was my main bass for couple of years, then I moved to Vancouver a became P-Bass guy.
I thought I could use some money, so I sold the J-Retro and carbon neck. Then I though I can use J-Bass again :-), so I bought new DiMarzio UltraJazz pickups, and second hand SX P/J neck (details here SX {Essex} P/J Neck Rosewood).

The pickups are routed directly to the selector switch (neck/both/bridge) and jack, therefore many redundant holes in the control area :-). Yeah, it sounds good, just like a J-bass should. The neck doesn't fit perfectly (it can be somehow seen on first pic, but I'll post detailed picture soon). I don't think it affect playability or sound as the fit is tight enough (too tight, in fact), it just doesn't go to the very top of the pocket... but definitely can be an issue for someone, therefore I disclose it here. There are also few shallower dings in the body, visible from close-up, but nothing major, it can be easily fixed with sandpaper.

I am leaving Canada soon and have only limited cargo capacity so I've decided not to take any musical equipment with me (already have 2 basses back in Europe). Therefore, I am letting this one go for $250 PayPal money plus shipping anywhere. I am also definitely willing to part it out. Body (with BAII bridge) $150, pickups (virtually new, just 5 hours of my playing at max, full-length wires ) $70 and neck $50 (same as pickups), everything PayPal and plus shipping.

thanks for looking!

cheers
