PRS 4 string "Jazz" FS only- sound clip!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is the second generation of PRS basses built.
$900 + shipping

Specs:
Ash body
Flame maple top
PRS single coil pick-ups
PRS pre-amp
Maple neck
Rosewood fingerboard
PRS bridge
HipShot UltraLite tuners
"59" burst finish.
Think of the neck like a Jazz but close to a P width.
StingRay-ish maybe???

I'll try and get some pictures up tonight or tomorrow.
But here is a video of it I did a little while back:
YouTube - ‪PRS 4 String Bass and HipShot D-Tuner Double Stop lever‬‏

HIPSHOT D-TUNER AND DOUBLE STOP LEVER ARE NOT INCLUDED!!!
The sound was recorded just using the mic on my MacBook.
Amp was my Roland keyboard amp......

Sinse I shot the video, I kinda got a better handle on the pre-amp.
It's actually not bad.

Here's the deal, this is a "players" bass. I'd say about 7 out of 10.
The neck is nicely worn in on the back.
There is a finish chip about half the size of a quarter right at the neck plate.
It is 110% sound with zero function/stability issues.

That's a heck of a deal. The plain top basses seem to go for more than $900, and the flame top is a hefty upcharge. Wish I was still playing slab! And had some cash. Ahem.

Pics? The video was a great add, but it's tough to judge the condition. Also, trades?

I had one of these and selling it is right up there on my regret list. Super versatile basses that never got the respect they had due. Dealer cost on the plain top was around $1400 so this one is a great deal.

Ya know....gonna hold on to this for now.....it's a KILLER bass and I can't seem to want to let it go.
Unless someone has a wenge neck Thumb NT 4, this is off the market......
