R-Bass Singlecut 5 FT !!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a new to me R-Bass singlecut 5 that I'm putting up for trade. I just got this bass but apparently I'm not a singlecut guy. The bass is quite impressive, looks killer in person ( and in pics...better in person) and feels great.

The neck is 34" scale and 19mm spacing with a fairly flat profile. The neck is nice and straight and the fretwork is awesome. I'm very impressed with the pickup configuration; the big single in the neck position gives off a convincing P-Bass vibe and the Nordstrand MM style pickup has a coil tap for a fierce jazz bridge style sound. Needless to say, it'll give you a convincing Stingray sound as well.

As for the specs:
5 strings
34 inch scale
19mm spacing
around 10lbs
ash body
horse chestnut top and headstock front
maple/walnut 5 piece bolt on neck
Ebony fretboard(24 frets)
nordstrand big single and MM5 pickups
Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
Hipshot hardware
Dunlop recessed strap locks
Rosewood pickup covers
walnut layer between the ash and chestnut top
walnut fretboard dots

The Aguilar OBP-3 preamp is stacked Vol, Vol stacked B/T, Mid, with bridge coil tap and active/passive switch. There is one knob that does nothing but can be easily rewired for a non-stacked B/T setup so you don't have the dummy knob.

I'm looking for basses of equal or greater value, I will add cash as needed to make a deal. For this bass I'm open to pretty much anything but prefer Sadowsky, Spector, Lull or something from the Warwick NT line.

And for the pics!
