RARE 1969 "A" neck fretless Fender P-bass!!

I had to close my other thread because it wouldn't let me edit it anymore for some reason....either way, my local sale fell through so here it is for a lower price once again. I hate to sell this gem but it just gets no action these days and I could really use the $.

I bought the neck from a guy in NYC who had parted out his custom '69 Fender fretless P-bass cause he thought he could get more money that way. It was def a custom job because the body was a custom color for sure and the nut width on my neck is an "A" neck, or jazz bass width. It's also an unlined fretless rosewood veneer board which Fender didn't start doing until 1970, making this neck possibly one of the first factory fretless Fenders ever. The headstock clearly reads Precision bass in the late 60's early 70's logo on the headstock. It plays like a DREAM and sounds even better....with rounds, it's like a haunting jaco tone that just kills! The tuners are also original. The body is from a mid 90's Fender which I've refinished in honey walnut, and the pickup was custom wound to '69 specs by Lindy Fralin. Dope partially vintage axe with some great history and character for a killer price. $1300 shipped!!!
