Man, here I go again  ................Another one I like, but have not played since owning. I need to reduce some of the inventory of my basses.
I bought this rare Plum Color Fender American Jazz V a couple of years ago, and have put absolutely not playing time on it. Even though I got the bass used (1998 model), it was in very clean shape, broken in at best. There are no dents or dings, and the bass has a very nice "feel" to it. Great five string neck, thin and fast!...........When I got the bass it was professionally set-up with new Fender strings (still unplayed). I added a new Chandler "Pickguard Heaven" Pickguard (you know how much they are  ), and a new molded Fender Case (the original one had bent latches).
This bass is ready to go and needs a good home! The new Fender American Jazz V Basses are going for around $1,200.00 now on-line, and they have gone away from Pau Ferro Fretboards due to cost (now Rosewood). Here is a clean used Jazz V including a new (upgraded) pickguard and case, in a rare color with the Pau Ferro Fretboard.
Asking $825.00 with $55.00 shipping (including insurance) in the lower 48 States!

If I didn't have a Marcus Miller laying on my porch waiting for somebody to get home, I'd be all over this. I've been looking for a true "purple" bass for a while. And it's a Jazz 5.
