Exclamation rare headless flying v cort steinberger p/j gibson v bass copy

Sign in to disble this ad
Here it is, my rare 80's Cort Headless Flying V Steinberger licensed P/J Bass up for grabs.

It's in very good condition for it's age cosmetically, it's got a 3 piece maple neck through maple body, rosewood board. It has some player wear on the body, a few small dings on front and back, couple tiny paint chip spots on back, the neck is in great shape.

The controls all work but there is a "crackle" sound issue either with the tone pot or the selector switch just due to age.

Padded case is included.

I accept paypal payments with confirmed address only, and the asking price includes insured shipping to the continental U.S.

$650 shipped! OBO

If you have any questions please feel free to ask, Thanks!

If that is a wooden floor underneath, would you sell that? What a pattern!

Lovely looking bass too - but it was the background that really caught my eye!

There is something so awesome about this bass.

The fact that it's a long scale V is killer since the Gibson V's were all short scale (I think...?)

1) Weight? All maple wings and neck right?

2) Those are the stock, 100% passive Cort pups from the 80's?

3) does the end cap come off somehow so you can affix regular strings (like the Steinbergers), or do you need to buy the double-ball-end strings?

Hilarious. And awesome somehow.

0)yep and yep
1)its light, solid maple
2)its all original except strings
3)never tried to alter it just use double balls

4)I've decided I just can't part with this one. I've never seen another one to be honest, and you've inadvertently talked me out of letting it go, sorry & thanks?

This bass even carries it's own wallet>?

Hello ! I'm new here (and I'm a guitarist...).
Anyway, a friend gave me the exact same bass. I looked all over the web for info about that instrument because it needs some repairs. Apart form here I never found any info. Is this a really rare item ? Do you think it's worth $650 ? Do you have any technical info about it ?
Thanks in advance for helping me out !

All I can say is I have had positive experiences with each transaction here. Seems to me these bass guys switch basses even more than guitarists!
