These are meant to compete with StingRays, so they are heavy like one, particularly due to the ash body and massive bridge.
Just weighing this thing is really making me wish I could keep it but I have to sell to pay for my P and to adhere to my self imposed GAS compensating three bass limit!
Also, a slight edit to the original post- I did some Googling and it seems less than 400 of these were made. There is one now on eBay with a bit of wear under the "Treker" brand that Bunker assembled from whatever remaining stock that had as after their deal with Ibanez ended. It doesn't have the same quality of hardware, a RW fretboard vs. flamed maple, and has a plastic surround on a normal bridge rather than the high mass job on this. Right now it has a BIN of $835 plus shipping. I'm asking $800 shipped. Asking means just that...

Hey! I need to update that- I was in TWSS. I am back doing the original thing now... hopefully playing out again soon.
I really shouldn't trade but maybe, particularly since it's local. Is yours black or sunburst? |

I have no interest in it though (no cash ) but just a tip: photographing it against a light colored background would probably show it off better. The red finish is sort of blending in with the red case lining making it harder to see. In any case, that is a very nice bass.

I will get some new pics up over the weekend if it's still available. |
