RE-POST + PRICE DROP Fender Custom Shop Classic Jazz- $1400

I could no longer edit my old post, so I'm re-posting this with a lower price for all of you folks out there.
My beautiful 2005 trans blue Custom Shop jazz bass is up for grabs because I no longer have any use for it. With over a dozen basses, it gets about 0 play time these days. Every time I bring it out, I get complimented on its looks and tone, but to my ears and hands, my Geddy Lee bass is the jazz for me. I don't have the original case or COA.

Specs:
4 strings
2 piece swamp ash body finished in a beautiful transparent blue
Quatersawn maple neck
21 fret rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl block inlays
Contoured heel for easy access to the upper frets
Fender noiseless jazz bass pickups
Fender Preamp
Fender High mass bridge w/string through the body option
Weighs in at 8 pounds on the bathroom scale

I'm asking $1400, but shoot me and offer.
ABSOLUTELY NO TRADES. Please and thank you.

There are a few dings, but nothing significant, which I'll get pictures of later.

There are a few dings in the finish on the body, and the headstock, but other than that, this bass is good to go.

I got it in late 08 or early 09, so I'm not entirely sure. The serial number is CZ503836 for anyone that knows anything about dating a custom shop instrument.

I found this on a Fender "Telecaster.com form

JC= John Cruz MK= Mark Kendrick GB= Gene Baker JS= John Suhr JB= Jay W Black

JD= Jason Davis GF= Greg Fessler SS= Stephen Stern JE= John T English TK= Todd Krause

AE= Art Esparza FS = Fred Stuart YS = Yuriy Shishkov etc etc

But then just to confuse matters alot of Masterbuilt guitars had regular serial numbers too like RXXXXX on the Time Machine ones.

CZ's did appear after 2000.Those later CS Claptons had them. CN stood for Custom Number.

Na... It's more simplistic than that.

I think, almost positive, that on your bass:
C= Custom Z=2000's 5=5th year(2005)

I think Bassmickeyd's form might be just for the tele's, not for bass.

Wether Fender luthiers only make just Telecasters and nothing else would be interested in finding out. ..... I did locate Strats that bear the CZXXXXX serial numbers. ..... But, you're probably right that there is no Carl Zinfield working at the CS shop.
