Up for sale is my Redeemer DC5 Canarywood. I hate to sell this because it is a great one of a kind custom instrument and lots of fun to play, but a recent GAS acquisition, and my kids college tuition bills mean a few items need to be sold. Here is Scotty (the luthiers) description;
"This bass was finished 7-5-08. It's a DC five string with 24 frets and a bolt on neck. It has a rare quilted canary wood top, walnut core, mahogany bottom. It has a single Redeemer humbucker and piezo bridge mated to an Audere classic four band preamp. Neck woods are curly maple, walnut and paduak. The headstock has matching veneers on both the front and back. The fingerboard is rosewood with white side marker. It sports matching covers and knobs"
It is very light at a little under 8 lbs and super comfortable on a strap or sitting. It balances perfectly on the strap and is easy on your back. The neck is very close in dimension to my Gary Willis sig Ibanez GWB1 with his 16.5mm center to center string spacing at the bridge. This makes fingerstyle playing comfortable and fast, particularly if you use a Willis or Matt Garrison style right hand technique. And if you came from a Fender Jazz as I did then your left hand will feel right at home.
$1100 shipped by FedEx to the lower 48 in a SKB hardshell case with a brand new set of Ken Smith Bass Burners.
