Relist: Am DLX P New Pics (and they're big)!!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a relist a previous post. I took some new pics, so I thought it was appropriate.

This is a 1996 American Deluxe Precision. It's white with a rosewood neck. It's really a great bass, but I find that I prefer my G&L at the moment. The pickup blend pot feels a little scratchy (but you can't hear it) but that's really the only issue that I can find. It's in really great shape for its age.

Currently strung with relatively new DR Nickel Lo-Riders.

Nut width: 1.625 (C shape?)
Weight: 10 lbs 2 oz

Will ship in a canvas hardshell case (non-original).

$800 $775 shipped to the lower 48.

$800 $775 shipped to the lower 48.

Not sure what happened to the OHSC. I picked it up used myself and it didn't have the original case with it then.

Bump.

I might still be interested in a trade for a US SB2. And I would trade this bass plus my firstborn child for an L-2000 with a #8 neck. OK, it's unlikely that I'll ever have a firstborn, so I have to retract that from my offer, but you get the drift on how happy I would be to find an L2K with a skinny neck.

OK, I have a carrot for anyone interested in a trade. It may not be much of one, but it is what it is nontheless!

If I can get a case in a trade that is worthy for airline travel, then I can include an SKB hardcase like this one:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/SKB-SKB-...36-i1177906.gc

It's been used a few times, but its in great condition.

Unfortunately, I can only offer this in a trade deal if something similar comes my way as I do travel with my bass on occasion and need to have something for transport.

Why, why, why does it have to be a 5-string?!

But seriously, thanks for the offer because it's a very nice bass, but I'm strictly a 4-string player at the moment. That 5th string just confuses me!

I still haven't had any offers come through for SB2s or L2Ks with skinny necks, so lets try another price drop.

$775 shipped

Thanks for the offer because that is a VERY nice bass! I'm going to have to pass though as Spectors and I don't get along very well. I actually tried one again over the weekend (weird coincidence) and I just don't feel comfortable with one.

Thanks again!

I feel you bump. Good luck on a beautiful instrument bump. When you factor in the shipping and the Paypal fees. You simply can't afford to make the deal at a lower price. At this price it's a steal.

That's really nice. My son has a '96 Am. Dlx. P also. His has aged into a more yellow-looking color. And it has the original tort guard. I love tort guards, but those mid-90's Fender torts were the cheapest looking torts I've ever seen. That white pearl looks great on yours!

I know that there is someone out there that is just itching to pull the trigger on this one...go ahead, just do it...you know you want to.

I have to say, every day that goes by, I think about pulling it down and keeping it myself.

Active/Passive Switch

Does anyone know if there is a way to put a passive switch on this system? That's what was selling me on the new ones.
This looks like NICE bass.
