RELIST: Atkinson Padauk Precision

This is Dan's poster bass on his website's homepage. I have had this bass for awhile and I will tell you, Dan's eye for detail is hard to beat. This is one of the best basses I have had the privelidge to call my own. I was worried about the weight, but it really didn't bother me at because it supports the tone and the sustain so well. The reason why I am partng with it is because it doesn't fit the style of band I am in at the moment. Otherwise id keep this for a long time.

added pics: atkinson pbass pictures by Gordo2008 - Photobucket

Ill post some updated pics.

Asking $750 $700 $675 shipped and insured via fedex.
Including a deluxe roadrunner gigbag (super padded, doesn't fold), white am.std. pickguard, dunlop rounds, and d'addario chromes.

From Dan:
"This stunning bass has a body made from solid Padauk, an exotic wood with a gorgeous red-brown color that really must be seen in person to fully appreciate. Body finish is thin satin nitro lacquer. The neck is made from maple and the fretboard is maple. Neck finish is vintage amber nitro. I originally built this beauty for myself, but after I posted its pic on the homepage I was flooded with emails asking about its availability. I finally gave in. This instrument is a blast to play. The tone from the Padauk is very similar to Walnut, but slightly more warm. With the vintage-voice SPB1 pickup from Seymour Duncan, you'll get loads of thumpy bass with the classic "P" grind. Padauk is a heavier wood, and the overall weight of this instrument is in line with 1970 basses from Fender. However, this bass sports a thinner neck and Hipshot Ultralite tuners, which means there is no neck dive. It balances very comfortably on the lap or when wearing a strap. Both the body and neck were made by the experts at USA Custom Guitars. The neck plays super fast, the rolled fret edges are easy on the hands, and the graphite reinforcement keeps it ultra stable. It's a "J" width neck (1.5" at the nut), which most players find more comfortable."

Wow, that's a beautiful Precision. I'd be proud to wear this bass around my neck!

Indeed. I love playing it actually, one of the best basses I've owned.
I'm just looking for something different at the moment and need to move this to fund my GAS.

I work tonight so I'm BUMPING a little early.
Price is semi negotiable, make me an offer. Worst that could happen is I say no.

Possble trade bait:
(Looking for maple fretboards, body color can be anything, any year, decent shape)
-Fender reissue jazz or precision, MIM+cash, CIJ, or MIA
-Fender precision deluxe special active, MIM+cash or MIA
-EB MM Stingray

That's what I am mostly looking at but I'm open to offers. Only thing is I'm real picky when it comes to rosewood or ebony fretboards, I'm just more of a maple guy.

Haha, you buy it and consider it a band aide. (2 puns intended)
I may have a trade in the works so your misery soon shall pass.

Thanks. I think she plays just as good as she looks if not better.
Someone will get a really nice bass.

Pps: sorry about the extra unintential bump.
