varitone operation as specified below..
1) Push/pull master volume (pull for series mode, both pickups must be selected for this to work)
2) 3-way pickup select switch (up for neck, middle both, down bridge)
3) Master tone control
4) Varitone bypass switch (up for bypass)
5) Varitone control (counter clockwise for darker tones).
This passive unit will enhance the natural sound of your bass so strings and pickups (impedance) will definitely have an affect on the overall bass tone
