This is a top-notch, Fodera-esque, hand-built bass from Japan. I had the pleasure of owning and playing this but I need funds to help out my parents so it's gotta go. On with the specs.

Specs:
AAAAA Burl Maple top
Swamp Ash body
34 inch scale
24 frets
19mm spacing
STR stacked single coils
Aguilar OPB-3 w/ Master tone (think Sadowsky VLC)
active/passive and series/parallel switches
STR gold hardware
Rosewood fingerboard
PLEK'd so it has a very smooth and even action
trans blue finish (more like a blue-green to my eyes)
matching headstock

Disclaimer: there is a nick in the finish on the bottom of the bass. It's very small, however, not more than 2mm's. Some surface scratches but nothing you can't buff out. This bass is in excellent condition!

It's a very noble thing for you to help out your parents. I would gladly help you help your parents but I'm all tapped out. But this has got to be one of THE most beautiful 5 strings I've ever seen! If it plays and sounds anywhere near to how it looks, then it's also a steal of a deal! Good luck!

I was the original owner and paid $3K for it new from the Low End a few years back. In many ways I wish I still had it. The OBP-3 and master tone control on this bass give you pretty much anything you can imagine tone-wise. Plus the finish is to "die for" beautiful. It really felt a lot like a Fodera to me. The build quality was exceptional!

I liked it so much that I used it on my business card!
