hello all, i recently acquired this bass from a friend and need to sell it for some quick cash. who wants an american made fender bass guitar for under $400?????
it was tough for me to get decent pictures of this...like taking pictures of a black mirror LOL!
from the serial number, this looks like a 1991 fender prodigy bass. the headstock reads "MADE IN U.S.A." the control set resembles the kubicki-designed preamps available on some fender basses of this era. it is an active bass. it is used but nice...there are pick marks below the strings on the front, minor dings and dents here and there, some discoloration on the pole pieces, etc. there is a slightly larger ding on the back of the body.
the neck seems slim and fast to me and plays nicely. it sounds very fendery to me. it would make a great stage bass, also a nice recording bass or a terrific backup. all the pieces on this bass look original; still, i have no way to know for sure...the case is a bit edgy and missing two latches; two latches remain.

there is nothing in the world i need to trade for right now; still, i can't refuse an unmade offer, can i?
