Repost: Musicman Sterling 4H Great condition! Great price!

This was up earlier and I had second thoughts and pulled it down. I threw on some flats and played it all last week to make sure that I was doing the right thing. It really does sound great with flats, but I've decided that the others meet my needs and this one could serve someone else much better.

This is in almost perfect condition with the exception of a few very tiny dings (not through the finish) on the back and some swirls on the pickguard. The tuners also have a little bit of an aged look to them already (patina?, dirt?, I don't know! ) I never tried to clean them because I thought it looked kinda cool!

According to what I can tell from the serial #, I think it was made in '06, but I bought it new at GC just a couple of months ago.

Weight is 9lbs. 5oz.

Currently strung with GHS flats, but I'll throw in a couple of slightly used sets of rounds too (stock strings that it came with, nickel lo-riders that I took off to put the flats on and a set of Oasis nickle strings that I got in a trade a while back).

It will ship in a new Roadrunner Cruizer gig bag in pretty good shape (but not perfect).

$775 shipped in the continental US and PayPal only!

I might consider international shipping, but you'll need to throw in money for hard case (I won't ship internationally without one) and pay for any other fees associated with shipping).

Not really interested in trades, but I might be persuaded by a SR5, a Spector 5er (partial or straight depending on what you have) or a US L2500.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Wow, that's 3 extra sets of strings!

Granted, they are slightly used, but...

I know that there is somebody out there who could really use this bass. It's a great instrument and I think that you'll be hard pressed to find a better price! It might be possible, but this one is just sitting here waiting for you!

Well, since this hasn't been moving anyway, I pulled it out last night, gave it a good polish (including a nice cleaning of the fretboard) and put the lo-riders back on. The flats will still be included in the sale. I already have another bass set up with flats, so I figured that the rounds could go back on this one in case I decided to pick it up and play a bit.

In any case, it's all cleaned up with no place to go. It really needs someplace to go. You should be the one to give it that new place!

I wouldn't sell my Sterling H ever, the HH goes 1st. Sterling H, Fender P and you've got all your tones covered.

*sigh*

too bad the closest I get in trade bait is a franken 5er with the guts from an L2500.

I'd LOVE to own one of these someday....just not today!

Outrageously great deal. Glad it sold, but too bad Sterlings don't fetch the $ they deserve.
