Rickenbacker 4003

Sign in to disble this ad
Here we have a Rickenbacker 4003 in Jet Glo, born in 2000. This is a great playing bass and of course has that signature Ric tone. It has plenty of player wear in the form of dings and scratches as seen in the pics, but nothing severe. You can't tell in the pics, but three of the tuner clovers (not shafts) have a very slight bend to them, presumably from someone closing the case when it wasn't seated properly(?) Nothing in the tuners are loose or affected and they work absolutely perfectly, but there is full disclosure for you. Also not shown in the pics is an extra strap button hole on the horn, right next to the strap button. Aside from those few cosmetic flaws, this is a great bass that works perfectly, plays flawlessly, and sounds great. It comes with original Rickenbacker hardshell case. Wouldnt happen to have the pickup cover?
Volume on all the strings equal?
(I've found that the volume on the newer Rics sometimes are lower on the E and G and need adjusted accordingly)

No pickup cover. You know you would just take it off anyway. I can double check string volume, but I don't recall any variation. This thing sounds great.

Hey, that bass seems familiar... I think I was emailing you about it yesterday. Small world haha.

Unfortunately I don't think i'll have the money to spend anytime soon. Ive been doing good for a highschooler who had to quit his job for school, but several family members birthdays have passed and necessary spending on school stuff and repairs for one of my basses have added up. I hate not being able to make school, orchestra and a job work at the same time.
Im selling some of my guitars and a bass so who knows.
Big bump for an awesome bass,
